Real Madrid unveil Bale position

According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are hoping to get €10 million for Gareth Bale this summer after his strong run of form for Tottenham.

If that figure does eventually turn out to be what he’s sold for, if that’s what they actually mean by this, then we can’t help but feel like it’s a bit of an insult to the Welshman. After all of the great years of service he’s given to Real, you’d think he would be treated with a little bit more respect than this.

Either way, though, all signs are pointing towards Bale giving an extended stay in North London some serious thought. He’s starting to come into his own in the post-Mourinho era and even though he isn’t the finished product by any stretch of the imagination, he’s the kind of player who can completely alter the trajectory of any given game – and that’s exciting.
