According to a recent report from Marca, Spanish giants Real Madrid are currently holding out for a fee believed to be around €40 million in order to agree to sell James Rodriguez. Real are said to be open to the idea of selling him to rivals Atletico Madrid, who are interested in signing the Colombian. Napoli are also invested in the idea of buying him, in the wake of his two year loan spell with Bayern Munich coming to an end. Real Madrid had the chance to keep him on their books, but it doesn’t seem as if that’s what Real or James himself wanted from this.
Rodriguez seems keen on starting fresh, wherever that may be, but there’s still a great deal of uncertainty as to what the correct step forward for him would be.
For now, though, it seems as if there is continued frustration on all sides regarding this potential move.
