According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is contemplating a move for either Olivier Giroud or Sergio Aguero.
However, he will only go through with a deal for one of those two players if he is unable to secure the signing of his primary target – Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Zidane is well aware of the hole that has been left within his squad as a direct result of Luka Jovic’s departure, but he doesn’t currently have a great idea for how he is going to resolve it.
Throwing money at some of the best goalscorers in world football is the right place to start, but between Giroud and Aguero, you’re going to have a lot of pros alongside quite a few cons. Both men would be guaranteed to score goals, but fitness levels and their ability to remain at the top of their game in the next few years does need questioning.
