According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid have now put Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes on their radar.
While Real may be sat at the top of the La Liga table, with a Champions League semi-final to get excited about, that doesn’t mean they’re ready to sit back and rest on what they’ve got.
Instead, they want to go in search of something different, in the hope that they can continue to bolster their squad and compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City on a consistent basis.
Many were surprised to see Guimaraes head to Newcastle but given the financial resources they have available to them, it really shouldn’t be all too shocking.
He’s been a revelation for the Magpies since coming to the Premier League and that looks set to continue for as long as he wears the famous black and white strip.
Alas, the temptation of heading to Madrid can be too much for most players to handle, and you won’t find many who would judge him for making the leap.
