Real Madrid want Jules Kounde of Sevilla

Real Madrid are interested in signing Jules Kounde from Sevilla in the summer of 2021, according to Fichajes. It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Madrid head coach Zinedine Zindane has identified the 22-year-old central defender as a potential candidate should Raphael Varane leave.

France international central defender Varane is out of contract at Madrid at the end of next season and has yet to sign a new deal. Fellow centre-back and Spain international Sergio Ramos’s current contract expires at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, and there is no agreement in place over a new deal.

Madrid boss Zidane reportedly wanted Konde last summer and remain interest in the 22-year-old centre-back. According to WhoScored, the Frenchman has scored one goal and provided one assist in 25 La Liga games for Sevilla so far this season.
