According to Sport, Spanish giants and European champions Real Madrid are weighing up the possibility of a move for Espanyol star Marc Roca. The midfielder is currently set to remain at the club until 2022, as per his contract, with his release clause being set at £35.4 million. It’s not exactly a stretch to imagine Real paying that, but at this stage, you have to wonder just how many changes they’re going to be making in the next few transfer windows.
After losing Cristiano Ronaldo it appears as if they’ve gone into a state of panic, especially after their poor start to the season. While they’ve steadied the ship since Lopetegui left it still feels like they’ve got a long way to go, and it’ll be intriguing to see what players they prioritise in the market.
Logically speaking, Roca could end up being a star for them for many years to come if they’re able to embed him into their way of playing.
