Real Madrid want to sell Martin Odegaard in the summer of 2021, according to The Times. It has been reported that the Spanish and European giants want to offload the attacking midfielder along with eight other players to fund moves for Kylian Mbappe and/or Erling Haaland. The 22-year-old is on loan at Arsenal at the moment, having moved to the North London club in the January transfer window until the end of the season.
Odegaard is starting to play well for Arsenal and has established himself as an important player in manager Mikel Arteta’s team. According to WhoScored, the Norway international attacking midfielder has made five starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for the Gunners.
Arsenal are reportedly ready to step up their bid for Odegaard. The Norwegian has forged a good partnership with Emile Smith Rowe in attacking midfield, and he would be a very good signing for the Gunners in the long run.
