Real Madrid want to sign ‘the new Casemiro’

Real Madrid are known for years now that they have been trying to find ‘the new Neymar’. Ever since Barcelona beat them to sign the Brazilian star in front of their noses, they have been scouting Brazil and bringing in players like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Reinier so that they could get a player similar to Neymar’s extraordinary qualities.

But now it looks like they are preparing for a similar approach, for a different Brazilian. Casemiro has been one of the key Real Madrid players for years and whenever he is on the pitch, Los Blancos look much better. But the defensive midfielder will not remain at the club forever and Eduardo Camavinga might become his heir. According to Marca, Real Madrid are looking to sign the 17-year-old Rennes player as a long-term replacement.

Camavinga is still very young, 10 years younger than Casemiro, but that could give both players enough time to prepare for what is coming, especially as Madrid are more and more lacking options in midfield.
