Real Madrid want to sign William Saliba from Arsenal

Real Madrid are interested in signing William Saliba from Arsenal in the summer of 2025, according to Sport. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that Madrid are ready to pay big for the France international central defender.

Saliba has been on the books of Arsenal since 2019. The 23-year-old central defender had loan spells at Saint-Etienne, Nice and Marseille and has now established himself as one of the first names on the North London club’s teamsheet. The youngster has scored six goals, given two assists and kept 36 clean sheets in 83 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Arsenal, who are interested in signing Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia in the January transfer window, are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 39 points from 19 matches, six points behind leaders Liverpool. Meanwhile, Madrid currently find themselves second in the La Liga table with 40 points from 18 matches, a point behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
