According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are willing to allow midfielder Luka Modric to leave the club in what would mark a stunning turn of events at the Bernabeu. Over the course of the summer there was a back and forth between Modric and Real over whether or not the Croatian would be permitted to leave, with Inter Milan being the primary contenders to sign him.
Real weren’t interested in sanctioning the move, but now, it appears as if they’re more open to the idea. Luka has made no secret of the fact that he wants to play in Italy before he hangs up his boots, and Real appear to be more interested in building for the future. Modric played a huge role in guiding Croatia to the World Cup Final this past summer in Russia.
Real will be returning to action tomorrow at midday, as they try to keep their strong run going against Eibar.
