Real Madrid are willing to sell Marco Asensio in the January transfer window, according to MundoDeportivo. The report in the Spanish publication has claimed that, with Asensio out of contract at the end of the season, last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners are willing to listen to offers for the 26-year-old Spain international, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.
Asensio is struggling for playing time at the moment and does not appear to be in Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s plans. The 26-year-old has made one start and eight substitute appearances in L Liga for Los Blancos so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process. The Spain international has scored two goals and given one assist in six UEFA Champions League games so far this campaign.
Madrid are second in the La Liga table at the moment with 35 points from 14 matches, two points behind leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona.
