Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has officially joined Leganes on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old Ukrainian joined the Spanish giants earlier this summer, but he’s been immediately loaned out in order to gain some first team football. Lunin has been viewed as a potential star in European football for the last twelve months or so, after making an impression with Dnipro and Zorya Luhansk.
Real could have a busy final few days in the summer transfer window, as they prepare to finalise their squad ahead of the new season. Leganes have had a mixed start to their La Liga season as they attempt to find their feet, and interestingly enough, their next league game will be against Real Madrid. Despite that, it seems highly unlikely that Lunin will be allowed to play against his parent club, which tends to be the rule throughout the major European leagues.
