Real Madrid must produce a €300 million income through player sales this summer if they are to go through with their plans and comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations, according to AS.
The 13-time Champions League winners have completed the signings of Luka Jović from Eintracht Frankfurt for €60 million and Eden Hazard from Chelsea for a potential fee of €150 million (€100m fixed plus €50m in add-ons), and their plan is to spend €400 million in total on players in this transfer window.
With that in mind, they will need to generate €300 million through departures. The players they’re looking to get the most for are James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale, though they’re valuing Mateo Kovačić at €50 million as well. Apart from those three names, Dani Ceballos is also likely to depart, as is Sergio Reguilon, either on loan, or on a permanent deal which would include a buy-back clause.
Whatever the idea is, with two big signings already in, president Florentino Perez will have to start serious work on departures soon.
