A report from Talk Sport is today suggesting that Real Madrid are ready to make their bitter rivals Atletico Madrid a £45 million offer for their start striker, Radamel Falcao.
Of course Atletico would be reluctant to sell the man who has scored 16 La Liga goals already this campaign to anyone, especially the club who they have a fierce rivalry with.
However, Real are confident that this transfer fee will be too much for them to turn down and that Falcao himself will have no problem in making the switch across the Spanish capital.
If the move did happen, then the Colombian international would not be a popular man with his current employers.
However, Jose Mourinho’s side have a great deal of power and can offer Falcao Champions League football this season.
It is thought that this news will dent Chelsea’s hopes of bringing Falcao to the English Premier League as they cannot offer him the chance to play in Europe’s elite club competition.
Atletico are sure to do all they can to keep him at the club, but they might have a huge fight on their hands to do so.
Could Falcao be on his way?
