Despite the failure to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, Real Madrid are still very optimistic about getting it done soon. The French forward is in the final season of his current contract with the Ligue 1 side, and unless he renews the deal before the end of the year, he will be able to negotiate with other clubs from January 1.
That appears to be the day Real are waiting for to jump into action, and according to ABC (via Sport), they’ve prepared a six-year contract which should see the 22-year-old pull down around €30 million per year, and his father and agent receive between €60m and €80m each. On top of it all, the buy-out clause in the contract will be set at a whopping €1 billion, which should certainly prevent any potential suitor from prizing the France international away once he arrives to the Santiago Bernabeu, without Real’s consent.
Apparently, Real president Florentino Perez is planning another ‘Galactico’ era at the club, and he wants Mbappe to be the main figure in the project.
