Real pull out of Sancho race

Real Madrid have decided not to pursue a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, according to Sport.

The 20-year-old winger has set the football world alight with his pace, dribbling and ability to both score and assist goals since arriving to the Signal Iduna Park back in 2017 from Manchester City’s youth setup. He is now being heavily linked with big-money moves to some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool.

But while Liverpool never really showed any intent to spend over €100 million on one player, for United and Real that wouldn’t seem so strange. However, a recent report claimed Dortmund wouldn’t lower their asking price below £115 million, while United were reluctant to pay that much amid the financial implications of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now it seems the same goes for Real as well.

Apparently, the Spanish giants have already turned their attentions elsewhere, with a defensive midfielder to challenge Casemiro for the spot in the team being the top of their priorities.
