Premier League champions Manchester City are bracing themselves for a big money bid from Real Madrid for Sergio Aguero, according to the Daily Star.
Liverpool’s Luis Suarez has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, though with the Uruguayan looking increasingly likely to remain on Merseyside, Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has been forced to look elsewhere.
Argentina international Aguero, who is currently preparing for this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, has been a sensation since arriving in England.
He has scored seventy-five goals in one-hundred and twenty-two appearances in all competitions, the most famous of which coming in the last moments of the final game of the 2011/2012 season where his strike clinched City’s first top flight title in forty-four years.
Argentina are second favourites to win the World Cup, and Aguero can be backed at a generous price of 16/1 to finish the tournament as top scorer.
