Real readying bid for Morata
Spanish daily newspaper AS has suggested that Alvaro Morata could be returning to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Los Blancos surprisingly allowed the Spain international to join Juventus in July 2014 and they have lived to regret that decision.
And with Karim Benzema in all sorts of problems with regards to the blackmailing case, Real Madrid are determined to lure Morata back to Santiago Bernabeu.
According to AS, they have a verbal agreement in place with the striker for a five-year contract worth more than the €2.2 million per year he is currently earning in Turin.
And considering that Real have the option to trigger the €30 million buy-back clause, Juventus would be powerless to prevent their star player from leaving.
Los Blancos now sit six points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona, and can be backed at 5/1 shot to lift the league trophy.
Atletico eyeing Monaco duo
Atletico Madrid are exploring the possibility of signing one of Jeremy Toulalan or Joao Moutinho, according to Marca.
Coach Diego Simeone and the technical department have held a meeting in the aftermath of Tiago Mendes’ injury, with the Portuguese expected to miss the remainder of the season through a broken leg.
And even though Matias Kranevitter will be joining from River Plate in January, los Colchoneros also want to recruit an experienced midfielder who would be a more obvious replacement for Tiago.
Marca has suggested that former Malaga star Jeremy Toulalan has emerged as club’s top target, with the fact that he would be available for Champions League games an added bonus.
The 32-year-old should be available at a reasonable price, so there is a good chance he will be returning to Spanish La Liga.
At the same time, Atletico are looking at his teammate Joao Moutinho, but the 29-year-old is a different type of footballer and would not be a perfect replacement for his international teammate.
Juventus keen on Embolo, Kramaric
Italian champions Juventus are keeping close tabs on Breel Embolo and Andrej Kramaric, Tuttosport can reveal.
The Bianconeri remain attentive to Europe’s top talent and these are the two players that have been on their radar for quite a while.
Juventus are expected to reignite their interest in Switzerland international forward Breel Embolo, who should be leaving FC Basel for greener pastures in the near future.
The only problem is that the 18-year-old, who already has 16 league goals to his name, is also followed by Wolfsburg, Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester United.
At the same time, Juventus could launch a fresh assault on Andrej Kramaric, the player who has largely struggled since joining Leicester City.
The Croatian has only made one substitute appearance this season and chances are he will be available for sale in January.
