Real remain in pursuit of Falcao

Real Madrid are ready to sell Karem Benzema as they look to raise funds to bid for Monaco’s Radamel Falcao, according to the Daily Star.

Colombian international Falcao is currently on loan at Manchester United, though he has started just six games under Louis van Gaal, scoring just twice.

Prior to his switch to Old Trafford, the 29 year old was limited to just twenty-two appearances at Monaco due to him suffering a serious knee injury half way through his first season at the club.

He has also had prolific displays with Atletico Madrid, Porto and River Plate while internationally he has twenty-one goals in fifty four appearances for his country.

Benzema recently penned a new deal with Real and has been in fine form this season but could be moved on as the Spanish giants look to land their long term target, with Liverpool strongly linked with a move for the France international.
