Spanish daily newspaper Marca claims that Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.
The total cost of the transfer is staggering €180 million, with €160m paid up front and another €20m in bonuses.
Bar any surprises, Mbappe will sign a six-year contract worth €7 million per campaign, with the official announcement expected by the end of the week.
Real Madrid chiefs were even prepared to allow the youngster to remain at Monaco for another year, but, as things stand now, the forward will immediately join his new club.
Mbappe enjoyed a tremendous campaign last season, bagging 26 goals in 29 starts in all competitions, with six of those scored in the Champions League.
The youngster is now set to become world’s most expensive footballer, and it remains to be seen how he will cope with the pressure of expectations.
