Competition: MLS

Market: Real Salt Lake win

Odds: 9/2 @ Bet 365

A team that is freefalling down the Western Conference, Los Angeles FC know they must quickly turn things around if they want to save their season. On Thursday they will host

Well, although Bob Bradley’s side were tipped as the best team in the West just a few weeks ago, the hosts have drastically fallen out of form and they now find themselves in a battle to secure a playoff position. Coming off the back of a 2-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City, LAFC were also dumped out of the US Open Cup earlier in the month. Now losing four of their last five and without a win in the past month, the hosts have remarkably shipped 14 in their last five and hold just a three point buffer over slipping out of the playoffs. A camp very low on confidence, it could be another difficult afternoon for the former USA coach.

As for Real Salt Lake, coming off the back of a 1-1 draw with Montreal Impact last week, the visitors have become a hard side to beat in the MLS. Now loosing just one of their last eight outings, they remain firmly on course to land a Top Six finish. If the visitors are to pull of a famous upset on Thursday, Mike Petke’s side will be looking for Salt Lakes top scorer Joao Plata to carry on his impressive run of form. After finding the net against Montreal last time out, the Ecuador international now has four in his last five and should fancy his chances against a leaky LAFC defense.
