Real Madrid have apparently set the price for the services of James Rodriguez. According to Marca, the 13-time European champions want €40 million for the Colombian.
Rodriguez spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich, at the end of which the Bundesliga title holders decided not to trigger the option to buy, set at €42 million. However, the Spanish giants are hoping they will be able to get close to that amount for the attacking midfielder who seems to have fallen short of the promise announced by his fantastic performances in the 2014 World Cup.
With Zinedine Zidane’s team set for a very different look for 2019/20 than it had during the previous few seasons having made several big-name signings, the 28-year-old remains surplus to requirements. He has recently been linked with Napoli, as well as Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid, and it appears that Real would be willing to let him go to the Wanda Metropolitano if their price is met.
