Real set Mbappe deadline

Despite some reports suggesting otherwise, Real Madrid haven’t yet given up on signing Kylian Mbappe, according to AS, but they did set a deadline for the France captain to make a decision on a potential transfer – by January 15th.

Mbappe’s current contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season, and despite several attempts from the Ligue 1 champions to convince him to renew his commitment, he is yet to agree to it. As long as that remains the case until the turn of the year, Real intend to launch their offensive on January 1st, but it seems they aren’t too keen on the 25-year-old attacker prolonging the uncertainty surrounding his future – they will expect an answer within two weeks.

It is believed in Spain that Mbappe was already on the verge of joining Real in 2022 and that he delayed the transfer, apparently afraid of an angry reaction from the PSG Ultras.
