Real snatch Ajax starlet
Real Madrid have signed Dutch midfielder Mink Peeters from Ajax Amsterdam, the player has revealed via his Twitter account.
The 16-year-old has confirmed that he is now officially a Real Madrid player, even if FIFA have yet to sanction the deal.
Should the transfer go through, Peeters will become the third youngster to leave Ajax for a top European club in a short period of time, with Javairo Dilrosun and Timothy Fosu-Mensah joining Manchester United and Manchester City respectively.
The interesting thing is that Ajax only signed the midfielder two years back from arch rivals PSV Eindhoven and they have now been given the taste of their own medicine.
Mink Peeters, who act as an attacking midfielder, has yet to be handed his senior debut, but he has represented Netherlands at various youth levels.
Real Madrid play host to arch rivals Atletico Madrid tomorrow evening, with los Blancos available at 4/6 to emerge victorious.
Jonas agrees Benfica move
Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has learned that Brazilian forward Jonas is set to complete a summer switch to Benfica.
The 30-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Valencia earlier this summer and his brother and agent Tiago Goncalves has been in talks with the Eagles officials over the last couple of weeks.
Premier League giants Tottenham were also believed to be keen, but A Bola understands that Jonas is on the verge of signing a two-year contract at Estadio da Luz.
The experienced attacker joined Valencia in January 2011 from Gremio and he enjoyed three and a half very successful years with los Che.
Jonas made a total of 113 La Liga appearances for the club and scored 36 goals in the process, but his contract came to an end in June.
The Brazilian now looks destined to continue his career at Benfica, where he is expected to form the attacking partnership with compatriot Lima.
Malouda linked with France return
French winger Florent Malouda could be returning to Ligue 1 this summer, according to La Republicain Lorrain.
The 34-year-old is a out of contract after ending his deal with Trabzonspor and it appears he is set for a return to France.
Namely, newly-promoted Metz are exploring the possibility of offering Malouda a contract in the coming days.
After spending six years at Stamford Bridge, the former France international signed a two-year deal with Trabzonspor last summer and he went on to score 5 goals in 19 league outings.
However, his contract was rescinded this summer with the player having lost his place in the starting line-up.
Malouda could now be back to French Ligue 1 some seven years after leaving Lyon for Chelsea.
