Handed the chance to potentially enter November as the La Liga leaders, a high-flying Real Sociedad will welcome Levante to the Reale Arena on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another gritty display and picking up a 1-0 win away at Celta Vigo over the weekend, the mood around the Reale Arena continues to soar. Sat level on points with defending champions Barcelona and only a single point adrift of top spot, Real Sociedad have shocked many across Spain with their start to the new campaign. Now landing back-to-back victories and continuing to shine in the final third, Head Coach Imanol Alguacil will be most impressed by his side’s form on home soil. Picking up a 3-1 win in their last appearance at the Reale Arena, Sociedad have won three of their four matches in front of their own supporters, including a famous 2-0 win over Atletico last month.

As for the visitors, while the mood in Sociedad’s camp might be on the rise, Levante find themselves in the midst of a rut. Freefalling out of the top half and coming off the back of back-to-back 1-0 defeats against Espanyol and Sevilla, they have now managed to win just one of their last seven outings, a run that stems all the way back to the 31st of August. Also losing four of their previous five matches on their travels, Head Coach Paco López appears to be coming under increasing scrutiny. Given Wednesday’s hosts continued revival, we’re backing a home victory in midweek.
