La Liga outfit Real Sociedad are stepping up their efforts to sign QPR midfielder Esteban Granero on permanent basis, reports Marca.
The former Real Madrid starlet spent last season on loan at Anoeta, but his spell was hindered by a serious knee injury.
He has since returned to Loftus Road and resumed pre-season training, but it appears a return to Spanish La Liga may be on the cards.
Real Sociedad are eager to sign Granero in an outright transfer with chairman Jokin Aperribay flying to London in an attempt to reach an agreement with the Rangers.
But, while the Premier League side are holding out for €5.5 million, La Real are not ready to offer more than €4 million.
Esteban Granero made a total of 24 Premier League appearances for QPR after arriving from Real Madrid, while he only featured in 4 league matches for Real Sociedad last term due to aforementioned injury.
