Real to land Hazard for £70m-£80m?

According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are hoping to secure the signing of Eden Hazard for a fee of between £70 million and £80 million during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Blues are said to value him at £100 million, which is the position most fans find themselves in, but given how busy Real are going to be in the next few months when it comes to transfers, they probably want to divide their money out across more than just one layer.

Real supposedly aren’t willing to pay that kind of money given that Eden only has one year left on his contract, which is what could wind up forcing Chelsea’s hand. They could always try and offer Eden a new deal in which they put down a set buyout clause, but given the persistence of Madrid regarding this deal, it doesn’t feel as if that’s going to work.
