Real Madrid officials are closely monitoring Denis Cheryshev’s performances at Villarreal as they have yet to decide whether he has a future at Santiago Bernabeu.
The Russian winger is currently on loan at El Madrigal and is gaining much needed first time experience, with the 24-year-old pretty impressive this season.
After failing to prove his worth while on loan with Sevilla, Cheryshev has done much better at Villarreal, having managed 4 goals and 8 assists in 19 La Liga outings.
As a result, Real Madrid officials now believe that the winger has the quality to challenge for starting places at Santiago Bernabeu and could decide to keep hold of him ahead of the next campaign.
Much will depend on Cheryshev’s performances in the second part of the season though as los Blancos would probably consider any serious offer for his services, provided a buy-back clause is inserted in the deal.
