Real Madrid have made signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool their top priority this summer, according to the Mirror.
Real head coach Zinedine Zidane is the one who is pushing for that to happen, and the club have already informed the Senegalese forward’s representatives of their interest. Mane has bagged 14 Premier League goals this season after sharing the Golden Boot last term with teammate Mohamed Salah and Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. His contribution has been crucial in what Liverpool have achieved under Jurgen Klopp, most notably winning the Champions League last season and getting to the verge of adding the long-elusive Premier League trophy to their cabinet this time around.
But Real will be aware that Mane has three more years on his contract, with no release clause they could possibly activate. Los Blancos are, however, hopeful that an offer of around €150 million would be enough to tempt the Merseysiders into selling one of their most prized assets. It remains to be seen just how realistic that hope is.
