After completing the deal to sign Reinier from Flamengo, Real Madrid will turn their attention to acquiring the next player on their list of young targets, Eduardo Camavinga of Rennes, according to Marca.
The 17-year-old has attracted the interest of a number of top clubs around Europe with a series of displays with maturity which far exceeds his age. He has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but it seems the 13-time European champions have decided to make securing his signature their next priority.
The midfielder, mostly deployed directly ahead of the back line but also capable of performing a box-to-box role, has so far made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side this season, scoring one goal and directly setting up another. At the Santiago Bernabeu, they’ve been following his progress for a while and they see him as a good candidate to provide cover for Casemiro.
His contract with Rennes runs until the summer of 2022.
