Real Madrid will demand €50 million for James Rodriguez this summer, unless Bayern Munich trigger their option to buy him for €35 million, according to El Confidencial.
The Colombian is approaching the end of his two-year loan spell at Bayern at the end of which the Bavairans have the option of signing him permanently, but the Spanish outlet believe the Bavarians will look elsewhere to fulfill their needs. In that case, Real would demand €50 million to let Rodriguez go.
The attacking midfielder, who will turn 28 this summer, had suggested he would be keen to return to Santiago Bernabeu, but with the return of Zinedine Zidane to the club, that might not be an option anymore. The Frenchman dropped him from the team during his first stint in the dugout, before sending him to Munich in the first place.
Reports have linked Rodriguez with a host of potential suitors, including Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Paris Saint Germain.
