Guillem Balague is quite certain that Real Madrid want to bring in Christian Eriksen of Tottenham Hotspur.
Doing his weekly YouTube video where he answers questions from his viewers, the Spanish journalist spoke about the Denmark international and Real’s reported interest in him. He is quite sure that the interest is genuine. It has been for over a year now. The Spanish giants were in for both Eriksen and Harry Kane. Kane has since then signed a new contract with Spurs; Eriksen hasn’t.
Balague sees this as a sign that the midfielder is waiting for Real, who see him as a good replacement for Luka Modrić, to make their move. The only problem he sees regarding a potential transfer of the 27-year-old to Santiago Bernabeu is Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who might decide not to allow it to happen despite Eriksen’s current deal expiring next summer. Of course, that would mean risk losing him for free in 2020, should the player remain unmoved in his stance not to sign a new deal over the course of next season.
