Spanish daily newspaper Marca has learned that Real Madrid are still debating whether to turn Javier Hernandez’s loan deal into permanent move.
Everybody at Santiago Bernabeu has been impressed with the Mexican’s impact over the last few weeks, with the 26-year-old scoring the decisive goal in the Champions League tie against Atletico before adding a brace in the league clash with Celta Vigo.
As a result, Real Madrid officials hope to extend his stay at the Bernabeu, but they are not prepared to exercise the €20 million buy-out clause that will expire on Thursday.
Los Blancos would consider signing Hernandez if the asking price is lowered and they have asked Manchester United for more time to make a decision.
The Mexican, who has just over a year left on his deal at Old Trafford, did well to score 6 goals in just 3 La Liga starts, although he did made another 15 substitute appearances.
