Real win chase for Odegaard; Lazio to bid for Sporting’s Mauricio

hot-transfer-newsReal win chase for Odegaard

Spanish daily newspaper Marca has learned that Real Madrid have all but agreed to sign Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard.

While Ajax and Bayern Munich were also in the race, the latest reports suggest that the youngster and his father have been convinced by the los Blancos pitch.

Odegaard has been delighted with the treatment he received during a two-day stay in Madrid and everything suggests he will put pen to paper on a six-year deal with the Spanish giants in the coming days.

The talented midfielder will probably join Real Madrid in the summer, and he will be added straight to the senior squad for the pre-season.

Odegaard has shown a great deal of potential during his debut campagn with Stromsgodset, bagging 5 goals in 23 league appearances.

The youngster was also handed his Norway debut and even made an appearance in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Bulgaria.

Lazio to bid for Sporting’s Mauricio

Serie A giants Lazio are set to make an official proposal for Sporting Lisbon defender Mauricio, according to A Bola.

It is no secret the Biancocelesti are in the market for a central defender and they appear ready to step up their interest in the Brazilian centre-back.

A Bola understands that Lazio will start the bidding at €2.5 million, although the Lions plan to get between €4m and €5m for their star player.

Mauricio, 26, joined Sporting Lisbon in a low-profile move from Sport Recife a year and a half ago and he proved a great signing for the club.

The experienced defender has made a total of 42 league appearances for the Lions, scoring one goal in the process.

And with Sporting having paid mere €350,000 for his services, they now stand to turn a nice profit in the January transfer window.

Dany Nounkeu set for France return

Galatasaray defender Dany Nounkeu could be moving back to French Ligue 1 this winter, L’Equipe has revealed.

The Cameroon stopper was loaned to Granada in the summer, but he in turn did not prove his worth in Spain, failing to make a single league appearance for the Rojiblancos.

His loan deal could now be cut short, while the latest reports have suggested Evian may be ready to offer Nounkeu a chance to kick-start his career.

The Ligue 1 strugglers have been leaking goals for fun this season and they want the experienced defender to try and patch up their weak defence.

Nounkeu made a name for himself playing for Toulouse, while also enjoying several good seasons in Turkish Super Lig.

His career has since taken a turn for the worse, but the 28-year-old still has time to return to the big stage.
