Real Madrid have made it clear that Martin Odegaard is not for sale this summer, according to Marca.
The talented 20-year-old has impressed during his loan spells in Holland, both with Heerenven and Vitesse Arnhem, and he has attracted the interest of Ajax.
The Dutch champions are renowned for their ability to develop young players to their full potential with the Barcelona-bound midfielder Frenkie de Jong and much coveted defender Matthijs de Ligt being the latest examples. They are keen on recruiting Odegaard now after several months of careful consideration.
However, it seems Los Blancos aren’t willing to part ways with the attacking midfielder for any money, despite looking to bring in fully formed players like Christian Eriksen, Paul Pogba and Eden Hazard. Odegaard is unlikely to feature much for Zinedine Zidane’s team surrounded by such quality, and another loan spell may be on the cards for him.
Ajax would apparently be open for that as well.
