Rebic set to return to Germany

These past six months have not been ideal for Ante Rebic. The Croatia international has been under a lot of criticism since the start of the season and for several reasons. One of those was the manner in which he decided to leave Eintracht Frankfurt, following a strong campaign. He was eager to make a move to AC Milan and now it looks like he is regretting it.

According to Calciomercato, Rebic is set to return to Eintracht Frankfurt just six months after leaving the club for the Serie A outfit. He managed to make a move to San Siro on transfer deadline day in September but has struggled for regular action, making just seven Serie A appearances in the process.

As Rebic played for Frankfurt in August he is unable to play for a third club this campaign due to UEFA rules, but the Bundesliga side are able to re-sign the 26-year-old this month.
