(GSM) – Lionel Messi has been named in Barcelona’s squad for the Champions League away match against Rubin Kazan.
The Argentine superstar is not likely to feature for the Spanish champions but will make the trip to Russia, the club said on their website.
Messi picked up an ankle injury after a brutal tackle by Atlético Madrid defender Tomáš Ujfaluši during their La Liga clash on September 19. He has missed Barca’s last two league games.
French defender Eric Abidal also returned to the squad after a few days off to attend to a personal matter but full-back Adriano missed out with a thigh strain.
