(GSM) – The Bayern München fans were desperately waiting for Franck Ribery’s comeback. However, they will have to be patient as the recovered Frenchman is set for a place on the bench against VfL Wolfsburg. Bayern coach Louis van Gaal has left his star player out of his starting lineup

“It’s hard for a player to get back in the team, when the team is winning match after match,” Van Gaal explained.

“It’s my task to form the best squad. Although Ribery’s fitness is improving he still has to regain his place in the team,” said Van Gaal.

With or without Ribery, Bayern will aim for revanche in Wolfsburg where they lost 5-1 last season. “I don’t think revenge plays a part in Saturday’s game,” said Van Gaal.

“We have other players now and we are in form and Wolfsburg isn’t.”

Reigning champions Wolfsburg haven’t won a match since November 7 and currently lie eleventh in the Bundesliga.
