Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg have completed the signing of Metz forward Sadio Mane.
Following the lengthy negotiations, the two clubs have finally reached an agreement over the transfer fee, allowing the player to sign a four-year deal with the Austrian club.
L’Equipe claims the agreement was reached only after Salzburg upped their offer from €3.5 to €4 million.
The 20-year-old only joined Metz from Lorient youth academy in January 2011 and has since scored 2 goals in 22 league games for the club.
The player shone at the 2012 Olympics, where he started all four games for Senegal, attracting a lot of attention with his scintillating displays in the process.
It was his impressive showings at the Summer Games that have helped Metz earned a substantial transfer fee given that les Grenats had earlier been relegated to the third tier of French football.
