Harry Redknapp is adamant Gareth Bale will not be sold despite heavy interest from big European clubs.
The Welshman has been an integral part of Spurs recent uptrend in fortunes and Redknapp says there is no way Bale will be sold.
“If we’re going to be a top team, we have to keep our top players and you can’t be selling Gareth Bale.
“He’s a special talent, one of the players who can make all the difference, so we’ve got to look after him. If you lose Bale, you can’t replace him.
“He can do things no one else can. The moment you sell him, it sends out the wrong signals. It’s up to the chairman, but I’d be very surprised if he was ¬interested in selling him at any price. I’m pretty certain Gareth won’t be sold in the summer.
“When I was at West Ham, they sold Rio Ferdinand and that was the beginning of the end. Once you sell your best young players, you go from building a team to dismantling it. We won’t be doing that.”
