Harry Redknapp is set to make several changes to his starting line-up when Tottenham host Shamrock Rovers in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Sunday’s Premier League match with Arsenal is in Redknapp’s thoughts and he has confirmed that he will rotate his squad for European games.
“I didn’t play any of the lads in the last game and it worked for us against Liverpool, we came out flying,” he said.
“Players like Gareth Bale and Emmanuel Adebayor will not play. I can’t afford to miss them for the weekend.”
“We’ve got a squad so let’s use it. This is their chance to prove to me why they should be in the first team.”
England winger Aaron Lennon may make his return from injury against the Irish outfit and Danny Rose could play on the opposite flank.
Youngsters Thomas Carroll and Jake Livermore are likely to be given another chance to impress the manager following some good performances from the pair already this season.
Steven Pienaar may also feature as he recovers from his own injury problems.
