Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is keen on securing a deal for West Ham United forward Carlton Cole, Sky Sports understands.
The former England international re-signed for the Hammers in the summer on a short term contract which is due to expire later this month, and he is yet to sign an extension deal.
If a new deal is not offered, his final game for the club could be the Premier League clash with Newcastle United on January 18th.
It would also give Redknapp the opportunity to move for the 30 year old, who has scored three goals in twelve appearances this season.
The former Chelsea man is expected to lead the line for Sam Allardyce’s men when they travel to the City Ground to face Championship side Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, and is 15/2 to get the first goal of the game.
