According to the Sun, Harry Redknapp is trying to bring in three players from his former club, Tottenham Hotspur, by 11PM this evening.
Redknapp, who is of course looking to do a lot of business in this transfer window with Queens Park Rangers, is keen on securing the services of David Bentley, Andros Townsend and Jermaine Jenas.
He worked with all three of these men when in charge at Spurs and is confident of bringing all three of them to Loftus Road as they don’t seem to be involved in Andre Villas-Boas’ first-team plans right now.
It is thought that all three deals would be loan moves until the end of the English Premier League campaign and then if they impress, a permanent move could be on the cards in the summer.
Bentley has not been involved in Tottenham’s plans for a while now and might need some time to get up to the demanding speed of the Premier League.
Jenas is a talented midfielder, but there seem to be doubts over his fitness and Townsend hasn’t really proven himself in the top flight yet.
However, Redknapp clearly thinks they can help his side beat the drop this campaign.
