Redknapp opts for lone striker against Inter

Esteban Cambiasso and Goran Pandev were deemed only fit enough for the bench as Inter Milan coach Rafael Benitez named on Wednesday against Tottenham an unchanged side from the team that won 1-0 at Cagliari on Sunday.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp dropped Roman Pavlyuchenko to the bench and picked Peter Crouch as a lone striker for the Champions League Group A clash at the San Siro.

Redknapp also moved Gareth Bale into midfield with Benoit Assou-Ekotto operating at left-back.

In the continued absence of Diego Milito, Serie A top scorer Samuel Eto’o retains his place in the centre of the forward line for Inter.
