Harry Redknapp has revealed that QPR striker Loic Remy tore a groin muscle in training on Friday.
Speaking after the club’s 0-0 draw against Norwich in the Premier League, Redknapp said he did not know how long Remy would be missing.
The forward joined the Loftus Road side in the January transfer window for a then-club record eight million pounds, and is understood to be on about 80,000 pounds a week in wages.
However, after the striker was left out of the squad for the visit of the Canaries, Redknapp has revealed that Remy suffered an injury in training, and as yet there is no set return date.
“(Remy) tore a groin muscle yesterday,” Redknapp told reporters, when asked about the striker’s absence.
“No idea at the moment (how long he’ll be out for).
“He got a groin (injury) last minute of training yesterday. Struck a ball and felt it go.”
