Redknapp set for busy 36 hours as he targets Parker

Queens Park Rangers still want to do plenty more business in this January transfer window and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker is becoming Harry Redknapp’s main target, that’s according to the Independent.

Parker of course worked under Redknapp at Tottenham and enjoyed some fantastic times at the club. His performances under the QPR boss earned him a place in the England squad for Euro 2012, where he played a key part.

Redknapp is thought to be a big fan of the Englishman and could look to make an ambitious move to bring him to Loftus Road in the closing stages of this dramatic transfer window.

If he were to secure the services of Parker, then it would be one of the best signings that the former Spurs boss has made as he is a player with international experience and is full of quality.

Unless Tottenham go and buy another midfielder in the next 24 hours or so, this deal might not be possible as he is still vital to Andre Villas-Boas’ squad.

Redknapp is also keeping tabs on Peter Crouch of Stoke City and Christopher Samba, who is with Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

It certainly looks as though the Rangers manager is going to be busy in the final stages of the month.
