Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has called for focus from his side ahead of Thursday’s FA Cup clash against League One outfit Stevenage.
Spurs were held to a 0-0 draw at the Lamex Stadium last month and their manager has insisted they must produce a professional performance to ensure a place in the next round of the competition.
“Stevenage played ever so well that day, so we know it will be tough,” Redknapp told the club’s official website.
“The players’ attitude has to be right and we’ll go about our jobs professionally. If we play as we can we should win, but if we are not at it and sloppy we will be in trouble.”
“We know how tough these games can be, we’ve all been involved in them.”
“To come to White Hart Lane in front of a full house with a great atmosphere, Stevenage will be up for it. We have to ready for that.”
The 65-year-old also claimed that Spurs stand a great chance of winning the competition if they reach the quarter-finals, as progress would mean a home tie against Bolton in the last eight.
“It’s a great opportunity for us now, we’re at home and the winners have a home draw in the next round so we really want to take the opportunity we’ve been given.”
