Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp feels his side should have scored more goals in their 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

Spurs were in trouble after 10 minutes when a Youssuf

Mulumbu goal put West Brom ahead in Saturday’s English Premier League match. But an Emmanuel Adebayor goal – where he pounced on a

rebound after Ben Foster saved his penalty – restored parity 25 minutes in.Late strikes from Jermain Defoe and Adebayor ensured

Redknapp’s men successfully claimed all three points to stay in third position

on the table, closing the gap between themselves and Manchester United to two

points.Redknapp told Sky Sports he was pleased with the way his team

responded to their sloppy start.”It was an exciting game, they started well,”

Redknapp said. “In the first 20 minutes they were better than us.

They started at a much better tempo, they closed us down and opened us up on

two or three occasions.””If they’d have got the second goal at that time I

thought we’d be in trouble.””But we came back, we got the penalty, and I felt

then that towards the end of the first half we started to come into it more,

but certainly (in the) second half I thought we were much the better

team.””We opened them up on six or seven occasions and the

scoreline could have been an awful lot more in the end.””But in the second half we showed that pace and

athletic ability. We’ve got to hit teams with pace on the break and I felt we

did that on quite a few occasions in the second half.”West Brom manager Roy Hodgson, meanwhile, felt his team

deserved at least a point from the clash.”I don’t really think we deserved to lose,”

Hodgson said.

“There was some counter-attacking chances where they

could have scored some goals and eventually did score two goals. But for large

parts of the game we did very well.”

“In the first half we played particularly well, even

coped with the loss of Zoltan Gera which was a blow for us,” he said in

reference to the Hungarian midfielder, who was forced off through injury.”In the second-half I thought Tottenham played

better without dominating us particularly, but then they counter-attack and the

second goal went in.””Then we had to really open ourselves up and try

everything we could in the last six or seven minutes to get an equaliser,

unfortunately it led to an injury time goal after two or three other

possibilities for them.”
