(GSM) – Liverpool duo Jamie Carragher and Maxi Rodriguez will be hoping to prove their fitness in time to face Hull City in their final game of the season on Sunday.
Reds defender Carragher sustained a twisted ankle during the clash with Chelsea, while midfielder Maxi picked up an abductor injury.
Both players limped off against the Londoners and are yet to resume training.
“They picked up knocks on Sunday and haven’t trained with the team as yet,” Reds Assistant manager told the Clubs website.
“It’s still early days and we’re not too sure whether they’ll be ready for the weekend, but we’re just taking it day by day,” Lee said.
The Reds were boosted by the return of Martin Skrtel to training on Wednesday, though Lee admits the Hull game could come too soon for the Slovakian.
“Martin Skrtel joined us for training yesterday, which was a nice plus,” said the assistant boss.
“The weekend may come too soon for him but it’s good to have people coming back,” he explained.
