Chelsea right-back Reece James does not want to join Manchester City, according to 90min. It has been reported that City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, are interested in signing James from Chelsea.
City reportedly see James as a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker. Walker signed a new contract with the Citizens in September 2023, but he is 23 now. Like Walker, James is also an England international, but he is 23 and has a lot of potential.
Spanish and European giants Real Madrid are also keen on James. Madrid want the 23-year-old as a potential successor to Daniel Carvajal. However, James does not plan to leave Chelsea anytime soon. 90min has claimed that the defender has completely ruled out a potential transfer to a direct rival such as City and has no plans to move abroad at the moment.
